Edward Chung, PT, DPT Clinic Director

Edward Chung decided to pursue a career in physical therapy while he was completing an internship at a PT department within the Hospital for Joint Diseases. They were helping people recover from surgery while having fun.

He graduated from Stony Brook University in 2009 with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Prior to joining METRO SPORTSMED® four years ago, he had affiliations at the Department of Education, orthopedic clinics and at Lutheran Hospital.

During his time with METRO SPORTSMED® he has been treating various diagnosis ranging from post-surgical to sports injuries.

He is now looking to become an Orthopedic Certified Specialist.

When he is not working, he enjoys Crossfit. A self-confessed foodie, he also loves trying different cuisines from cultures around the world.

Tara Losquadro Liddle MPT, NDT, Regional Director of Pediatrics

Tara received a BS in Physical Therapy from New York University along with a MS in Developmental Disabilities. Licensed to practice in New York for over thirty years, Tara is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) and has gained extensive experience various settings; including hospitals, private practice, early intervention and consulting.

Volunteering as a teenager with children with special needs sealed my fate as a physical therapist. I was enamored with the emotional and physical care implemented by the physical therapists working with the children. She has been working with children and their families since 1983.

Drawing from her experience working with the adolescent population, Tara is the author of Why Motor Skills Matter: Improve your child's physical development to enhance learning and self-esteem.

Tara often references Tscharnuter Akademie for Movement Organization (TAMO) and the Connecticut Infant-Toddler Developmental Assessment from Yale and is an expert in pediatric and family communications, quality care, team training, supervision and lecturing on neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients care.

When Tara is not hard at work helping her patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, she can be found cycling, skiing and running; having last completed the NYC marathon in 2007. She is also an avid traveler, reader and museum goer.

Eduardo Figueroa, PTA

Eduardo A. Figueroa received his Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 1999 from LaGuardia Community College, Queens, New York.

He is certified in Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy.

He gained his experience in outpatient clinics of hospitals and multiple outpatient facilities where he worked.

Eduardo says he chose physical therapy as a career because he always wanted to work in the health field.

“Then, when my grandmother fell ill and was put in a nursing home after a stroke, I would sit in on some of her physical therapy sessions and that piqued my curiosity. Then when I visited my cousin’s physical therapy practice in Puerto Rico, that sealed my decision.”

When he is not working, he enjoys movies, especially foreign and independent films, concerts, art exhibits and he is also a self-confessed foodie. He loves trying different cuisines from different cultures.
