METRO SPORTSMED® Physical and Occupational Therapy is built around the concept of partnering with you to help you achieve your wellness goal.

Our nine outpatient and inpatient sites located throughout the New York metropolitan area offer a variety of specialized programs such as aquatic therapy, comprehensive back rehabilitation, pediatric and geriatric therapy to help you deal with all the injuries and conditions that life brings.

Combined, our inpatient and outpatient divisions’ 125 experienced staff handle more than 160,000 patient visits each year.

Since 1995, our team of expert physical therapists and occupational therapists have worked to provide our patients with the best possible care and a customized program of recovery.

Our Therapists

Michael Mancuso, PT, DPT – Clinical Director
Michael Mancuso, PT, DPT is Lower Extremity ART (Active Release Technique) Certified as well as Certified in Myofascial Decompression which is based off the traditional Chinese modality of cupping in combination with movement to treat soft tissue impairments. Mike received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from East Stroudsburg University in 2009 followed by his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton. While pursuing his dream of becoming a Physical Therapist, Mike led by example by becoming the Vice President of his Physical Therapy class. He also traveled to St. Michaels School for Special Needs in Arizona to help guide children with special needs through exercises. Mike gained valuable experience during numerous affiliations in Long Island, Manhattan and Pennsylvania; including his last affiliation at STAR in which he focused on incorporating TRX training. An avid athlete his whole life, he continues to participate in many different sports outside of work, such as playing in an adult soccer league and beach volleyball, and running a half marathon. Mike has also volunteered in the medical tent of the NYC marathon two years in a row.

Sherrie Neysa Jasper, DPT
Sherrie Neysa Jasper obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Quinnipiac University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University, Steinhart.

She has also achieved certification in Pelvic Physical Therapy, Level I and II.

She gained experience working in acute inpatient rehabilitation, pediatric facilities and private practices, sub acute rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation and the New York Public School System.

She now specializes in women’s and men’s health and pregnancy and post-partum conditions.
